What is a Drain Strainer Orifice?
A drain strainer orifice removes condensate from a steam line through a small opening or “orifice” strainer orifice plate. the trap allows condensate present in the steam line to pass into the condensate return system. If condensate isn't present in the line a trap releases a controlled amount of live steam.
